Precision Laser Processing
Our large-capacity laser cutting system can cut a variety of materials, ranging from 0.062” sheets to 1.25” plates. With the tightest tolerances in the industry, and up to 6,000 watts of power, our state-of-the-art flying optic and hybrid cutting systems can process sheets and plates more than 12 ft wide and 90 ft long.
Precision CNC Plasma Cutting
Our precision CNC plasma cutting services utilize high-definition cutting action on 4-axis equipment. Four-hundred amp, dual-head, straight, and contour beveling capabilities allows our team to process the highest quality metal fabrications in a variety of materials, including carbon, stainless steel, aluminum, alloys, and other exotics.
Precision CNC Punching
G.E. Mathis Company employs a 40-ton, high-speed punch in order to produce high-quality parts within the closest industry tolerances. Our equipment can punch through plates and sheets of carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum, up to 60” wide through 0.5″ thick.
G.E. Mathis Company’s precision bending and forming services utilize six hydraulic press brakes, two of which are CNC-controlled. Our press brakes have 400 (CNC), 500, 750, 770 (CNC), and 1,000 ton capacities that can accommodate thicknesses up to 2″ and lengths of 20, 20, 30, 23, 25, and 40 ft.
We can fabricate components including cones, cylinders, bump formed sections, ob-rounds, segments, channels and angles—in a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, titanium and Hardox wear plate, among others.
Our precision plate rolling services consist of two mechanical, 3-roll, pinch-type plate rolls and a variable geometry 3-roll, pinch-type plate roll with cone bending capabilities. Our equipment can roll cylinders and cones up to 10 ft wide and 1.5” thick, using a diverse range of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, titanium and Hardox wear plate.
Hardox Wearparts Fabrication
Through the use of abrasion-resistant, durable Hardox wear plate, the certified craftsmen at G.E. Mathis Company can fabricate high-quality components that meet even the most challenging application requirements. Through the use of thermal cutting, laser cutting and welding, we can produce materials in grades of 300-500 Hardox, 100-110 Strenx (Domex) and Weldox—up to 2″ thick and within the tightest industry tolerances.
Using state-of-the-art equipment, G.E. Mathis Company offers precision arc and metal inert gas (MIG) welding services from prototype to full-scale production. Our extensive welding capabilities allow us to work with a variety of materials—including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and Hardox wear plate—up to 12 ft wide and 80 ft long.
Each of our AWS-certified welders possess fully automated and CNC-controlled welding experience, including submerged arc seam, shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, flux core arc, gas tungsten arc and dual-wire submerged arc/MIG welding methods.
Precision Plate Shearing
Through the use of state-of-the-art, hydraulic equipment, G.E. Mathis Company can plate shear a variety of materials in prototype, small run and full-scale run quantities, in order to meet our customers’ unique needs.
We can shear stainless steel plate as thick as .50” and carbon steel plate as thick as .75”, in lengths up to 20 ft.
